Mendiants

A traditional French confection steeped in history and tradition. 

The mendiant is a chocolate disc studded with fruit and nuts, each element represented the four mendicant or monastic orders. The word mendiant translates as begging, which is exactly how the friars or monks earned an income.

A French staple at Christmas time, we make them for you to enjoy all year round, six milk and six dark discs bejewelled with almonds, salted pistachios, fig and cherry. These are the ideal bite size after dinner snack.
